Contract: Part time

Work hours: 8:30 – 1pm (half day position) 

Location: Hybrid: 2 days remotely / 3 days from office (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays – Cape Town CBD)

Remuneration: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Role summary:

We are looking for a Marketing assistant to join the Marketing team, working closely with the Partnership Manager, assisting in executing partner events, producing digital and physical marketing collateral and organization / administration required to ensure that we maximize the performance of our key marketing partnerships. In addition, you’ll provide marketing support to the broader Marketing team when needed. 

In this role, you’ll be an integral part of the marketing team and have an opportunity to broaden your marketing skills. You will be involved in a variety of projects as capacity allows, providing great opportunities to grow your skills and use creativity to solve business challenges.

As well as marketing experience, excellent communication, project management skills and attention to detail will provide you with a strong foundation for success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing assistant:

  • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced B2B start-up
  • Assist in executing all aspects of Marketing partnerships, including arranging physical events, digital marketing campaigns and webinar coordination.
  • You’ll liaise with our section partners on a regular basis to coordinate successful events.
  • This will require working alongside our team in the USA, to ensure events are activated optimally, including the logistics of getting branding in place timeously.
  • You’ll work alongside the Partnership Manager, assisting in executing monthly partner campaigns with a focus on digital content, briefing in various elements (newsletters, emails, ad’s, design) produced by our design team as well as moving these through the approval process.
  • You’ll liaise with our social media executive to promote Marketing partnership events.
  • You’ll be part of the Marketing team, a group of 9 people, each focused on different aspects of marketing and design and will have the opportunity to input new ideas.
  • The duties outlined above are not limited to these and may include additional tasks as needed.

RELEVANT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Matric (required)
  • Marketing diploma or degree / similar advantageous
  • 2 years relevant experience in a Marketing or Ad agency role
  • Understanding of the principles of marketing
  • Project or Account Management advantageous
  • Tech savvy with an interest in sport
