Role summary

BetJets will be launching as a subsidiary of the 4Racing brand. Aiming to become one of South Africa’s premier online sports betting and casino entertainment providers. BetJets will provide innovative gaming solutions, traditional horse racing products and a superior sports betting offering, all backed up by five-star customer service.

We operate under the jurisdiction of the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board and uphold the principles of the National Responsible Gambling Programme, guaranteeing our adherence to stringent regulations to ensure a positive wagering experience.

We are currently seeking a Payments Clerk to accurately load and pay all customer payments in a timeous manner.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payments Clerk or relevant profession
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant software.
  • Proficiency in navigating online banking platforms is essential.
  • Exceptional precision and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with accounting and payment software is advantageous.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily reconciliation of bank transactions with the system.
  • Support Customer Service, Compliance departments, and other pertinent internal stakeholders with ad hoc payment inquiries.
  • Address any ad hoc queries as directed by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager.
  • Assist with general financial administration tasks within the organization when necessary.
  • Continuously update financial databases to maintain accuracy and accessibility of information.
  • Supervise and manage all aspects of customer payment processes to ensure precise capturing and timely disbursements.
  • Timely and accurate processing of customer payments.
  • Daily verification of all processed transactions.
  • Identification of irregular transactions.
  • Adequate support for the Finance Manager during Annual Audits.
  • Contribution to the identification of potential fraud risks within the business, both preventatively and through detection.
