Remuneration: 25-30k dependent on your years of experience

Role summary:

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Travel Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate travel, vendor management, booking arrangements, expense reconciliation, and travel safety. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a strategic mindset, and a customer-oriented approach.

The Travel Manager will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing effective corporate travel policies, ensuring seamless travel experiences for our Field Technicians across the USA, Canada, UK & Europe, as well the wider Tagmarshal team when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Travel Program Management:
  • Develop strategic policies and programs for corporate travel aligned with company objectives.
  • Oversee and manage all travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with travel service providers to optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Evaluate travel services and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure timely bookings and adherence to travel policies and guidelines.
  • Develop comprehensive itineraries for trips, providing necessary details for smooth journeys.
  • Anticipate and address potential travel disruptions or challenges.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans for unexpected travel disruptions or emergencies.
  • Monitor and reconcile travel-related expenses within budgetary constraints.
  • Stay informed about travel policies to maintain consistency and compliance.
  1. Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with travel agencies and vendors for quality service and competitive rates.
  • Communicate travel arrangements effectively with technicians and relevant parties.
  • Provide timely updates and support for high traveler satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in travel-related processes.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Provide guidance on travel documentation, insurance, and visa requirements.
  • Manage credit card programs and expenses related to corporate travel.
  • Process and reconcile Travel & Expense (T&E) reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with finance for budget forecasting and streamline reimbursement processes.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports of travel activities and expenses.
  • Perform monthly KPI reports for technician travel.
  1. Administrative and Operational Tasks:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant travel regulations and safety protocols.
  • Track, draft, and present performance reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain a well-organized repository of travel documentation for auditing purposes.
  • Act as a point of contact for technicians during unforeseen circumstances.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in travel planning and administration.
  • Perform additional Operations Administrative tasks as required.

  • In-depth knowledge of international travel regulations, customs, and currencies.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Word, and CRM systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; training in travel and tourism is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Corporate Travel Manager or in a similar role within the travel industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing corporate travel policies and programs.
  • Strong knowledge of international travel regulations, customs, and currencies.
  • Proficiency in Travel & Expense (T&E) reporting and processing.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and rates with travel service providers.
  • Familiarity with credit card programs and processes related to corporate travel expenses.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on business acumen.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, CRM & Project Management systems.

RELEVANT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Advantageous

  • Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional education or training in travel and tourism, hospitality management, or business administration.
  • Experience managing travel arrangements for multinational companies or clients.
  • Experience in managing relationships with travel agencies and vendors.
  • Training or certifications in relevant areas such as travel management or corporate travel policy development
